Cecilia Pang’s daughter Caroline loves to dance, and she loves to interact with the other angels. FFDY’s weekly activities give her those opportunities.

Cecilia learned about FFDY six years ago when she started exploring resources for Caroline, who has Down syndrome. “The proximity of FFDY to my home, as well as the wonderful programs, attracted us. It was one of the best decisions I’ve made.”

FFDY is as important for parents as it is their children, Cecilia says, because it gives them a chance appreciate each family’s challenges and provide support.

“I highly recommend FFDY to any Asian American parent with a disabled child,” Pang says. “You are not alone.”

Like many members of FFDY, Lulu Shen got involved with the organization after hearing about it from a friend, founder Amy Huang. She has been a reliable and valuable member ever since.
