Thomas Chow
Thomas Chow is a relatively new member of FFDY, and it didn’t take him long to get involved in the organization. He found out about the organization at an event featuring several community support organizations, and he joined in order to give his daughter, Amanda, more opportunities to interact with others.
“My lovely angel Amanda has been diagnosed with mitochondrial disorder, but that does not affect her ability to have a great time at the weekly FFDY events,” he says. “She enjoys her time with the volunteers and other angels, which plays a positive role in her life.”
Thomas says FFDY is a great resource for parents as well because they understand the issues of raising a child with special needs and they are willing to share their ideas. He encourages other parents facing similar circumstances to join FFDY.
